Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani on Thursday launched a welfare scheme for farmers with seven parts designed for his or her general growth, an official stated.
As per a state authorities launch, Rupani launched the scheme vis video conferencing from Gandhinagar.
The scheme covers seven welfare parts corresponding to cow-based natural farming, financial upliftment of farmers, adoption of latest crop varieties and distribution of agri gear to small and marginalised farmers, the discharge stated.
Of the seven parts, the chief minister operationalised two main schemes for transportation and storage of produce on Thursday, it was acknowledged.
Underneath the crop storage scheme, farmers will get an help of Rs 30,000 to assemble godowns to retailer their produce, it stated.
In case of the transportation scheme, farmers will get a monetary help upto Rs 75,000 to purchase small automobiles to move their produce, the discharge stated.
On the launch day, the state authorities disbursed monetary help of Rs 400 crore to round 1.16 lakh farmers, it was acknowledged.
